The OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management (603/7782/3) is aimed at candidates who are aspiring health and safety professionals who are responsible for developing and applying health and safety procedures on a day-to-day basis in an organisation. They are likely to be managers looking to improve their knowledge and skills. This qualification is ideal to develop occupational health and safety management skills for managers who have the authority and personal attributes to translate organisational strategy into effective operational performance.  

 

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for the OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Management, you must possess:

  • Minimum of a Level 6 qualification in Occupational Health & Safety; or
  • An honours degree with relevant knowledge and experience in the Occupational Health & Safety sector

OTHM will also consider applicants with substantial relevant professional experience on a case-by-case basis.

All learners must be 21 or older.

Through distance learning you can earn your qualification online while learning, developing and practicing the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the Health & Safety sector.

To gain the Level 7 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management you must complete 6 mandatory units to demonstrate competency, knowledge and understanding.

Unit Y/618/8246: Advanced Research Methods

 

Course Format

Your learning material will be provided by your assessor, along with a guidebook and assessment plan. The assessment team will monitor your progress to offer you support and guidance throughout your course. 

 

Assessment

This is an assignment based qualification. Assignments may be made up of tasks to achieve the unit outcomes.

 

Duration

Learners will receive 18 months access to their course.  

 

Support

You will receive full uncapped access to the TrustTeach Health & Safety assessment team for 18 months. You can contact the assessment team via phone or email.  Our assessors work Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm, and any messages sent outside of these hours will be picked up during normal working times.  

You will receive your e-cert within 1 week of completion and the hard copy of your certificate within 4 weeks of completion.
