ProQual Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice Conversion Course

The ProQual Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice Conversion Course is aimed at candidates who are responsible for developing and applying Health and Safety procedures day-to-day in their organisation, and are looking to upgrade their Level 5 NVQ Diploma to the Level 6.

You must have completed your Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice within 5 years to be able to complete the Conversion Course.

 

Course Structure

Through the Learning Assistant platform provided by City & Guilds, you can earn your qualification online while learning, developing and practicing the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the Health & Safety sector.

 

Course Overview

To complete the Level 6 NVQ Diploma Conversion Course you must maintain a personal development portfolio that can contribute to professional bodies’ CPD requirements and which incorporates:

  • an ongoing evaluation of their personal competence
  • reflective commentaries on CPD activities
  • setting and prioritising realistic goals for professional development
  • applying professional ethics in practice
  • an appreciation of diversity and inclusivity in workplaces
  • sharing personal experiences in professional debate and discussion

Any evidence used must be dated within the last 2 years. Additional units will be required, the amount is dependant on the completion date of your Level 5.

 

Course Format

The learning material is provided electronically on the Learning Assistant platform with a guidebook and assessment plan. The assessment team will monitor your progress to offer you support and guidance throughout your course. 

 

Assessment

Your work will be assessed and verified by our trained Health & Safety assessors. Your assessor will advise you on which units will need to be completed in order to complete your qualification.

 

Duration

Learners will receive 9 months access to their course. Average completion time for the Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice Conversion Course is 4-6 months.

 

Support

You will receive full uncapped access to the TrustTeach Health & Safety assessment team for 18 months. You can contact the assessment team via phone, email or over the Learning Assistant platform.  Our assessors work Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm, and any messages sent outside of these hours will be picked up during normal working times.  

You will receive the hard copy of your certificate within 4 weeks of completion.
